When you get you tush chewed because you are faced with a dilemma you don't understand, you bail. (Natural instinct) Then get browbeaten because you bailed. When asked to help and you try the front door and the door gets slammed in your face, don't try the back door as that only makes it worse. I've lost most of me extended family over an issue they sought my help on. I was clueless to the fact that I was to be a sounding board only.

I have never been able to hold a grudge for more than a few hours but I have found there are many masters in that art. If looks could kill from 2,000 miles away I would be in five graves by now. Trying to help is a relative conception. You have to help on their terms or you are up the creek. If you don't know what those terms are, you've lost already. I have enough issues of my own to get stomped underneath someone else's problems.

I brought this all upon myself for thinking I COULD actually help. Silly me. Even an optimist would say "screw them" but I'm stupid enough to believe I may yet regain their favor.
